INITIAL INSTALATION ISSUES

Hi,
I recently purchased a DJ-TECH Usb turntable and with it came a free CD with Audacity 1.3 software on, My issue is that when i insert the CD into my laptop drive it starts to install and then comes up with an error message sayin " Unknown problem encountered by Windows", it stops tring to install the program.
I run Vista Home premium on the laptop.
Please give me some direction on how to get it installed.
