Recording Things Off The Internet & Speaker Quality

Post by audicityhelp » Sat May 09, 2009 3:20 am

I have taken advantage of using the rec. feature on Audicity where you can record things already playing currently. (Youtube, Mp3's, Etc.) When I record, obviously you must set your volume level so its not blasting out over the dB limit. And to make sure it sounds its best i only record high quality mp3's. But my question is: When I record, Some things sound better than others usually when i switch speakers, im trying to figure out if I use higher quality speakers, does it rec. in a higher quality? I use a laptop and speakers on these are usually low quality, it records ok; but, when i plug my stereo system up to the line out in my laptop it makes the sound seem much better. Anybody got any ideas?
