hello, I'm pleased with the sound quality I get from my audacity software- but all of my recordings skip every few seconds. It's just like a blip of silence. A friend said it may be the lag time between audacity and windows trying to catch up.

But my biggest problem is when the sound stretches out and I sound like a robot. It just becomes an electronic blur. I'm sure they are related.

I use VISTA.

any ideas?
