Hey everybody. I'm new to the forums so I don't know how active they are. I've been using audacity to do some cool stuff recently and I've been trying to get a vocals only track from an mp3. The voice remover works well enough for my applications when it comes to getting instrumentals, but I'm still unsure if you can make a vocals only track, like just the vocals from a song, no instruments. Any suggestions? And I'm very sorry in advance if this is asked every week! I tried searching but came up with nothing.

If you don't already have a multi-track of the performance, the chances are overwhelming good that you're not going to get one from a software package.
There is an impressive list of reasons the software will fail. You started with an MP3, the talent has echo, the talent has stereo effects, the talent isn't in the middle, the talent walks around, there's more than one talent, the performance is in Mono. etc. etc.
If you got a song to work at all, you win. That's usually the best you can do. Very few people end the process with a clean vocal or clean background. Everybody keeps assuming this is a push-button and go home process. It's not.
