Recording pause tab

Post by bert44 » Thu Apr 23, 2009 11:39 pm

I am using Audacity 1.3.7 with Windows XP to transfer LP's and Cassettes on CD. Wondering why the pause button will not work in the record mode. Thanks.

Just tested on my 1.3.7 also running on XP-HE - the Pause button works fine, so I'm puzzled :?

Have you also tried using the keyboard shortcut the P key to pause ?

WC, Thanks for your help. Just tried the P tab and no luck. No way I can pause in the record mode but when I stop the recording and play it back the pause workes fine ??? All I can do is record side A of a cassette then switch to B and then go back and edit the pause gap.

No, you can Stop the recording after side 1 and then when you have turned over and are ready to record again press Shift+Record or Shift+R - the recording will then restart in the same track just where you left off.
