Re: pop noise when recording

Just to follow on from my last.....
I have switched machines and 135 works like a dream on the other machine.
Both of my machines only use onboard audio processing and I had been looking to get a sound card for the Samson C03U that I am using to see if that would make a difference. As it is a usb microphone and I could not find a sound card which would let me connect directly to it with the USB interface to test if the motherboard was the source of the interference.
Anyway I decided to test 135 on the other machine and as I said it works like a dream. The difference is the onboard audio processing capability so far as I can make out.
The Realtek AC97 Audio works just fine for what I am doing. The NVidia nForec Audio codec interface doesn't.
So anybody having problems with regular pops and crumples varied by changes in scan and bit rates ought to take a look at hardware profiles early on in the diagnosis process. i think this was mentioned earlier on in this discussion.!!!!
Hope that helps others get quickly to the bottom of some very disheartening interference issues.
