Will Windows XP Professional X64 Edition support two dual core processors? Isn't that the same as four processors? Please reply me ASAP

Re: Please Help Me
This is a forum about Audacity, an open source audio editor. Someone might still know the answer to your question, but since you're clearly in a hurry, I'd recommend looking for a forum dedicated to Windows. Googling "windows forum" turns up several. Good luck. --Allen

Technically yes, but the operating system and applications have to "know" about them and how to use them. One guy in the office built a delightful computer as a foot-warmer. Three quarters of his processors and memory are not accessible to his applications -- anything over two processors and 2G of memory -- so the only thing the extras are doing is keeping his feet warm.
