Voice Quality

When exporting audio to mp3 that consist of talk and music the voice part gets alot of unusual noise but when just voice is exported its crystal clear. What going on! PLease help!

Try using higher bit rates for the MP3s (for example try the "Standard" preset).

Thanks for the response Steve and excuse my ignorance but where do I do this im pretty computer savvy but im new to audacity and mp3 conversion.

In Audacity 1.3
Select "Export" (or Export Selection if you only want to support part of the audio).
Select MP3 as the export format
Click on the "Options" button to change the MP3 format settings.

(There may also be a step where you get the Metatag editor, but I always have that disabled and I don't remember exactly when that pops up).

Wow ok so I started at 128 bit rate and went up to 192 and that did the trick! Thanks alot Steve!
