Stero to mono

Post by Bob Jordan » Sat Mar 21, 2009 3:40 pm

I recorded an audio track in stereo ( big mistake ) now I'm trying to make it mono. In my attempt to turn it into mono
Here's what I did: I imported the stereo track - Clicked on tracks - clicked on Stereo to mono ... and it worked. It changed it from stereo to mono .... ONLY PROBLEM IS ... when I try to play it , a window pops up that says " Audacity, the Free, Cross-Platform Sound Editor has encountered a problem and needs to close". So now I'm stuck. Can anyone help ?

The trouble with posting on the "Recording Techniques" board, is that no-one has any idea of whether you are on Linux, Mac, XP, Vista, or other, and no idea which version of Audacity you are using.

Try downloading Audacity 1.3.7 again (1.3.7 was re-released because after some bug fixes - you may have the older version).
