Software disc won't iinstall, hangs up system

The software disc for your Model F63 will not install; the CD drive apparently cannot read it, and I can't stop the procedure or eject the disc; the system hangs up and I have to reboot.

What install disk are you talking about?
Does this have anything to do with Audacity ?

Thanks for your tip regarding e-mail. Yes, this is an Audacity product; I went to this website as directed in the operation manual if I needed help. This system includes a turntable and cables to connect with my PC so as to convert vinyl records to mp3 files. I am using Windows XP; the manual says the software is good with Windows 95 and up. The install disc is a small one, about 3 inches across but fits in the small circle in the drive. Should I download software instead from the URL you listed?

Audacity is free, open source software and is often included with other products (such as USB turntables) though Audacity itself has no affiliation with these companies (and receives no revenue from them either).

The versions of Audacity supplied with USB turntables are often out of date. The current versions can be found on the Audacity website (see links posted in previous message). For new users of Audacity, there is a wealth of information in the "Tips" and "Tutorials" section of the Audacity wiki (see links at top of page).
