Stereo to Mono, .wav size limit?

Hi,
Is there a .wav file size limit for two channel stereo? lemme back up... I have this extracted stereo wav file that is 735mb. I've processed it in audacity normalizing and removing noise. When I select the 'track' (as 'one'- right/left channel stereo 'track') and 'export selection', once the file is saved, the 'stereo' .wav file becomes only left channel 'mono'. Once saved and reopened up, the right channel is at '0'db. From the source .wav at 735mb, the saved (unwanted single mono track) file is only 2kb off. Trying to guess if this is a file limit something or an audacity thing, not sure, I'm not that often working with .wav files this size. Audacity ver is 1.3.4 beta, never seen this before. Haven't been hanging around the forums recently to know if this is a common issue with .wav (if so by filesize) or anything else. I haven't changed any preference settings in Audacity (from default or the few tweaks I make), etc. Source wav is 48khz, .wav; writing out a 2 channel 48khz .wav. As described, this make any sense?
Thanks,
jbb
