Can't Export.

I'm running 1.3.7 on windows XP and every time I try to go to export, File-> Export the program locks up and I have to close it with the taskmanager. Some of the earlier 1.3 versions worked just fine but I don't remember which it was.
Exporting in 1.2.6 works as well.

At what point exactly does it lock up?
Can you Export as WAV?

As soon as I hit File -> Export it's locked up, the menu doesn't come up, nothing.

Try resetting Audacity.
To do that, delete (or rename) the "audacity.cfg" file. It is a hidden file and is usually located:
Documents and Settings<user name>Application DataAudacity
When you have done that, open Audacity (If you've removed the correct file you will be asked to set the language).
Before you do anything else;
Create a short sound from the Generate menu, then go to File > Export.
