Hi,

After installing 1.3.7 (no problem) I clicked the shortcut and after a few seconds my PC locked up completely, so I had to do a hard reset. I tried a second time: same result. I use XP Pro service pack 2, with an AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core CPU and 2 Gb of memory on an ASUS M2NBP-VM CSM motherboard (built-in Soundmax HD audio, directX 9.0). 1.2.6 works fine. Any suggestions?

Are you able to do anything with Audacity before it locks up?

Do you have an available recording source (sound card) on your computer? (Check in the Windows Control Panel in "Sounds and Audio Devices" to see what device Windows has selected for the default recording and playback devices).
