How to Export in 1.3.7 ?

Very happy to see 1.3.7 out, but when I
go to EXPORT a file there is no option
brought up to offer wav, mp3, etc....

Can someone assist?

D'Oh!

I didn't know 1.3.7 was out. I wonder which one they issued. I have like ten or twelve daily builds since I've been testing for the developers.

Are you on Vista? Are you suffering from a version of this...

I'm going to take one giant step back and let the Windows people handle it from here. I'm on a Mac and as you know, we never have any problems.

No the problem is that when you go to
EXPORT the file there is no choicel mp3
wav in any window -- you only see the Tag
/Labeling window....

I think I see the problem. 1.3.7 isn't out yet. You got a pre-release of the program. What's the date on your download file?

That makes you a developer.

Let us know when you get that to work--or figure out a way to change it in some way. Changing it works. Document everything.

1.3.7 appears to be out - it is listed as the latest vn on the Audacity site.

HOWEVER when I click on the Windows 1.3.7 download, I get directed to the Sourceforge site where the featured available download is the AVS Audio Editor - this may explain one of the thread postings we received earlier on the forum complaining that they had downloaded AVS and were being asked to pay ....

So I'm sticking with 1.3.6 till this gets resolved ...

The problem with mp3 encoding with 1.3.7
is still there -- even with the RC2 version now
available. . . .

Hope someone can resolve this for us.

What site? the SourceForge page still has 1.3.6.

If you Google 'Download Audacity" you get this one...

The resolution is 1.3.7 may not be released yet. If you got one of the nightly builds, you got a pre-alpha version of the code. Not For Actual Use In Production.

From this site http://audacityteam.org/ that I have always had bookmarked and always got my kosher previous downloads from - which as you say leads to this one http://audacityteam.org/download/ just as you say Koz - but thgis page now has 3.7 as the latest Beta (Is your page cached by any chance Koz?).

That page leads me to this one http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows and thence on to this page http://sourceforge.net/project/download ... -1.3.7.exe - which is still offering AVS rather than Audacity 1.3.7

listed on the main Audacity site for
download rather than 1.3.6

This is clearly a problem with the program. . .
