Okay, so I've heard the best plug-ins for Cubase/Sound Forge/Audition/Nuendo are available in Waves Diamond Bundle, however, the shell only works with the aformentioned platforms/programs.

Can Audacity-Extra handle Waves Diamond Bundle or other graphical plug-in shells?
Also this is kinda off topic, but has anyone noticed for boosting the highs in your vocals that you have to make the EQ especially high to get the desired result as opposed to in Cubase?

Audacity uses the VST bridge for VST support. VST bridge does not support the graphical elements of the user interface due to licensing restrictions.
If you use the Equalizer effect in Audacity, then the boost that you set for any specific frequency band is the boost that you get (just tested it out using Audacity 1.3.6). If Cubase does not do that, then it would appear to be a problem with Cubase (I can't test that at the moment, but it is not an issue that I ever remember seeing in Cubase - I think you may not be comparing like with like).
