if you have not already found it by now (sorry for late reply) ... Clicking the "Download" button in the FFmpeg section of Import / Export Preferences will also take you there.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem. Followed your link to "audacityteam.org/manual/index...nstall_the_FFmpeg_Import.2FExport_Library.3F
How do I download and install the FFmpeg Import/Export Library?
...and the link is 403-Forbidden!
Solution?
Many thanks in advance

Short answer: left-click, not right-click. Long answer: Don't use Internet Explorer, Safari or other browsers that do not send HTTP referrers on right-click > Save as.

Thanks Gale,
As I use IE, instead of searching for suitable browser ; on the 403-Forbidden page I copied the address bar for download .exe file;
"http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/ffmpeg....dependencies.exe" and started the download with FDM
[http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm]. All fine and installed.
Loaded Audacity 1.3.6 and exported audio sample (after editing Prefs:import/Export) as type: WMA{version 2} Files {FFmpeg}, this Audacity did but when I try to play the file in Windows Media Player 11 I get an error msg "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because it is corrupted." , or "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Similar msg with RealPlayer PLUS.
I then tried importing the file back into Audacity and this only loaded an with an empty stereo track (although when I retried another sample from same audio it did work in Audacity!). When I tried a different audio sample it worked when imported back into Audacity but still not in WMP11 or RealPlayer PLUS. Explorer shows the file to be a Windows Media Audio file and yet won't play it!!
Above in red is off topic and I've located answer at
http://www.audacityteam.org/forum/viewt ... yer#p33738, so please ignore.
Any suggestions?
