No sound ?
Hi every one great site! Trying to record some audio cassettes with voice only in mono. After downloading the soft ware and lame which was a modern miracle 4 me ! I get record going fine and exporting file fine. But DONT SEEM TO GET SOUND THROUGH MY SPEAKERS WHILE I AM ABOUT TO RECORD OR RECORDING. When I play the saved recorded file it plays fine through the windows media player. Can i hear what I am recording? I have vista but on my other lap top too it has the same problem. cheers

How are you recording? A conventional microphone plugged into the microphone socket? A USB microphone? Other?

Hi steve thx for your interest. I am using a mini jack at both end from my walkman. I have resolved the issue.It seems when you down load audacity the sound file you record is not automaticlly checked. So I ticked the boxes somewhere lol and now it works fine. Amazing I could do it and get it going. Thx for a great program made free to all. cheers
