Preferences in Vista Ultimate 64bit, program crashes!

Post by Ice Cream Man » Sat Dec 13, 2008 1:19 am

Much as the subject line of this post illustrates in 1.3.6 beta, upon navigating to Preferences the program crashes in Vista 64bit.

I will add that I have tested it in all NT+ compatibility modes, and as admin. In addition, I have tested it in the administrator profile. The result is always the same.

Turns out this crash appears to be purely related to the presence of a recording source. If there is no recording source present, opening preferences crashes this version in this environment.

Thanks for posting the solution. We'd become aware of this from a number of posts. However although we have not done anything explicitly to address it, we haven't been able in development builds to reproduce this crash if there are no recording or playback devices present on Vista. Would you be able to try out this development build and see if you can reproduce the crash? Are you using Service Pack 1?

Thanks
