Volume from track to track is off-Help
this may be an ID10t error but - I have mixed all of my bands songs through audacity, when i burn them to a disc the volume from song to song is different. The first song the volume is one level the next song the level is way lower ect..., How do i make my songs consistantly the same volume for the cd? Seems like a really dumb question but i can not figure this out. please help!
Re: Volume from track to track is off-Help
Import all of the tracks into Audacity.
If you have not done so already, select all tracks (Ctrl+A) and apply the "Normalize" effect.
Use the "solo" buttons on the tracks to listen to each track and adjust the volume level (with the track volume slider) so that all tracks are the same loudness as the quietest track. You need to be bringing the louder tracks down, rather than the quieter tracks up so as to avoid clipping the audio.
Select one track at a time and use "Export Selected" to select the individual tracks.
Burn a new CD with the new tracks.
