I just bought a device that connects via USB to my laptop so that i can record cassette to digital. (Looks like an old personal cassette player). It came with Audacity software and instructions to just install and use... I have also since downloaded the 1.3 Beta version as I am using vista. The problem I have is that when I connect via USB... I lose all sound so am unable to record anything. When I disconnect the USB... sound on my laptop returns. I dont know if this is just a settings issue? I have tried changing settings, but im not hugely technical and dont really know what im doing.
