Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Cant record any more

Post by Oesau » Tue Mar 06, 2012 9:20 am

I got win 7 and my soun card is via, and the program is via hd audio deck, Package Verson 8.2.00.33, codec version vt 1708B, driver version 6.0.1.8200 OS version Windows 7 and Direct X version is DirektX 11. The sound works all right.

I got the Audacity ® 1.3.14-beta (Unicode) version. It insatalled without any problem.
I cant record from streamed music any more.
At first it worked, but after installing the lame encoder I couldnt record any more. I reinstalled Audacity but cant record on MME or Windows direct sound, with any input option awailable.
I have disabled and enabled the sound options for my soundcard to eliminate other faults.
Any hint?

Which options have you enabled/disabled?

Installing Lame will be an unrelated coincidence.

Have you tried Start button...Control Panel...Sound...Recording...Right click in emty space in that tab and tick both "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices". That should bring up "Stereo Mix" or something else that implies its the sound card device.
