Hello. I've been recording some dialogue for a movie, and when I play back the track, sometimes the audio volume drops to an
almost unintelligible level. It seems like it is doing this if the mics are quiet for a bit, but that might just be me.
the stuff that gets recorded in this "phase" it seems to get in is almost completely un-saveable, so and help would be greatly appreciated.
my setup is two "analog" mics plugged into an audio splitter and then plugged into a laptop (windows 7) mic in port.
(it is so janky i know but for most of the time it works)

Re: Audio from microphone drops in volume
Windows 7 has a conferencing service that tries to help you with level setting and audio processing. You should look for it and turn it off.
