Hello forum, I'm trying to record some guitar using Audacity, though I'm having some difficulties.
It's hard to describe it, but I uploaded a screenshot with desc.
And I know that Audacity is the problem since this problem doesn't occur in any other programs.
Anybody know what the problem might be, and if so is it easy to fix?

Where possible, could you trim your images down to just show the relevant detail - it's difficult to read your messages when the screen shots are so big.
Is the problem that the sound is fading away during the recording?
If so, see here: Why do my recordings fade out or sound as if they were made in a tunnel?

I've looked at Mic settings but there's no options regarding noise suppression etc, like the FAQ specified. There was something called DC Offset but turning that off didn't do anything.

Could you post a short sample (less than 6 seconds) in WAV format.
Below the forum message composing box there is an option to "Upload attachment".

Re: Problems while recording!(Cant describe in english)
That definitely sounds like "Noise Suppression" or "Echo Cancellation" or some similar effect.
Sometimes there is a second Sound Card Control Panel (it may be called "Realtek" or "SigmaTel"). If there is, then there may be more settings in there.

Re: Problems while recording!(Cant describe in english)
It turns out that the microphone that Audacity used was the built-in mic in my laptop, even though I had set my headset mic as active..
When I record using my headset microphone the recording works as it should, maybe the built-in mic just was too sucky. Still interesting since I haven't had that problem using the built-in outside Audacity.
Still, thanks for the help, and you're the boss!
