Need help with my newly installed Audacity?

Need help with my newly installed Audacity?

I installed my beta on windows 7 but when i am about to record i get up this message

Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate.
I am no computer super wiz and i have tried to figured it out on my own but i need help on this?
