Cannot detect my djm 2000?
hi im new to this so ill be brief...ive connected my djm 2000 to my laptop for the first time and gone thru prefferences selected devices and down to recording device to select djm 2000 but the option is not there? thoughts would very helpfull.

Don't be brief. Tell us what kind of computer you have. Which Windows?hi im new to this so ill be brief
Exactly which version of Audacity -- all three numbers. I'm using 1.3.14.
Leave Audacity closed for a while. Does the device show up in Windows Control Panels > Sound?
What happens if you plug the device in, let it settle and then start Audacity?
I can't tell from the instructions, but are you expecting multi-channel sound -- beyond stereo?

Cheers for ur time koz... i have the djm 2000 connected to a samsung rv515 laptop via usb cable the program im using is windows 7.. i have the version 1.3.14... yes the mixer shows up in my sound devices and have left i pluged in for half hour before starting audacity the mixer now shows up in playback device but doesnt in recording devices???
