Cannot record what I hear

I just got Audacity and from a someone else who's got audacity I know that there should be an option to record direct from your computer but I don't have that option. Where he's got "speakers" and what "what you hear" in the toolbar I've only got "SoundMax HD audio 0" and "SoundMax HD audio I" So what'm I doing wrong and how can I solve it?

Whether this is possible or not for you dependes entirely on the combination of your PC/souncrad/device drivers. Manufacturers are deliberateky making it harder or impossible to do this.
