Symbols

I am trying to edit a song, lyrics are "R" rated. I am trying to replace with cues. I have been able to edit before, now I have this symbol I haven't had before. Its a circle with a line through it. HELP!!!! It won't let me do anything. Please help!!

Where does that symbol occur?
Does this have anything to do with Audacity?
