Audacity Error on Startup
When I start Audacity, it gives me an error that says,"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem". I did reinstall it, but it gave me the same error.

Sorry for the problem. Are you on Windows XP Service Pack 2 or earlier? And is it 1.3.14 Beta that you have the problem with?
Please follow the instructions here to download and install
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package":

Although that thread is old, the fix seems to solve the few current instances we've seen of this issue.
Be sure to get the "x86" package for 32-bit Windows or the "x64" package for 64-bit Windows.
To check if you have 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, right-click over Computer or My Computer and choose "Properties". If 64-bit is not mentioned, you have 32-bit.
