Importing WAV file from SD card, burning a CD

Post by Kit » Fri Feb 10, 2012 5:54 am

I have a Zoom 4-N digital audio recorder. It records on SD cards. How do I import these files into Audacity and burn a CD? I presume that first I need to get a card reader and attach it to the USB port on my computer. As for Audacity, I've heard wonderful things about it. I was looking for a SEARCH function on it, where you could just enter a question and get some answers. I presume that importing files from SD cards is not a big deal. Once I get the WAV file from this SD card imported into Audacity, I just want to trim the beginning and end of the file and burn it onto a CD. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

The Zoom H4n should have come with its own USB cable. You can use that to connect your Zoom to your PC and it will be seen as a USB card reader device. You then just copy and paste or drag and drop your files across.
