Windows 7 OS

Post by mailhot » Fri Feb 10, 2012 2:23 am

Hi need help pleasee.

My Win 7 OS HDD only has 9 GB free out of 50GB and the 1.3 version loaded on this drive and not the one with 500 GB. All the x86 OS Program Files files are on here and I only have 7.5 hours or recording time...what should I do?

Thanks in advance...

Create a directory on the large drive.

Edit -> Preferences -> Directories
aud_prefs.png
Preferences dialog
aud_prefs.png (9.03 KiB) Viewed 562 times
Set the Temporary files directory to the directory you just created on the larger drive.

In addition to the advice given by ragnar.jensen,
Once an Audacity Project has been saved, all further temporary files will be saved in the Project _data folder.
If you're unsure what a "Project _data folder" is, see here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Audacity_Projects
