How do I ask a question?
Beta 1.3.14 ( Windows 7). Occasionally stops recording and a loud buzzing ensues. The only alternative is to close the programme and start again. Any Suggestions?

Phono Turntable. Usually OK. This would more of a problem if recording "live".kozikowski wrote:Yes. Tell us what you're recording and how. Microphone? USB Turntable? Headset?Any Suggestions?

Duplicate post removed.
You've not said, but I'm assuming that you are using a USB turntable. We can only work with the information that you give us, otherwise we are guessing.
It sounds like your computer is sometimes loosing the USB connection.
Avoid running other programs at the same time as you are recording.
Don't use a USB hub. The turntable USB requires a direct connection to the computer.
Check that the USB connections are secure.
Try using a different USB socket. If you are using a full size computer, try the sockets on the back - they are often more reliable.
If possible, avoid using other USB devices at the same time.
Ensure that processor demanding programs such as anti-virus scans or Windows update are not scheduled to run while you are recording.

Thank you. I can disable anti Virus program, but how do I disable Windows Update? I will do as you suggest and advise of the results in due course. Regards Bip
Re: How do I ask a question?
Start--> All programs--> Windows Update. Left side of window Change settings. Don't forget to turn it back on when you've finished!
Re: How do I ask a question?
Thank you. Transfer of USB from front to rear of tower appears to be all that was necessary. No Further trouble.
