Audacity trying to access the wrong data file

So have a recording done in 4 parts. Each part were saved in the .aup format in separate folders. So folder one will contain part 1.aup and the part 1 data folder. Folder 2 has Part 2.aup plus part 2 data folder.

I've had no problems until I tried to open Part 3. When I open it, for some reason Audacity is looking for the Part 2 data folder. The Part 3 folder seems fine but Audacity isn't trying to access it.

Does anyone know how I fix this? This is a bit time sensitive. Thanks in advance for all your help.

That's what you may think you did, but I bet a trip through the AUP file says otherwise. AUP is a text file. You can open it up in Notepad or Wordpad and read it. The first line or two will tell you what the show thinks it's name is.

Note in line 2 that my show name is piano2split and it's looking for a piano2split_data folder. This AUP file has been exploded for clarity, but your pieces should all be there.

Ah thanks for the reply.

Actually just updated Audacity to the latest beta solved the problem. So luckily, this one was an easy fix. I'll remember your tip in the future though. It may come in handy.
