Hi, I still need some help as I cannot record while listening some sound on web. My computer: Asus A8N-SLI, Athlon 64 x2 4200+, ecc.

Now thanks to your help I finally can record my guitar by the souncard line-in. I'm trying to record several track and it should be usefull if I could record the metronome sound as basis to follows every time I record a new track. I have found a nice metronome on this link: http://simple.bestmetronome.com/ that I can hear very well. In Audacity I have choosen Realteck Speakers output and Miscrosoft Saound Mapper as input, as line-in and Phone seems not the correct ones. In the imput level meter I did start monitoring, but does'nt work and when I start record the pause button activates.

Thank you for any help.

That's two very different problems.

-- Record Internet

http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer ... trol_Panel

Also you might need Total Recorder or FreeCorder if neither of those works -- and it's possible they won't.

Yes, it would, that's why Audacity 1.3 includes a metronome or "Click Track" in the Generate menu.

For the rest of that, you might scroll down to the bottom entry here -- Fake Overdubbing.

"Real" overdubbing gives you a complete mix of your live performance plus all the old tracks plus the metronome in your headphones. In Fake Overdubbing you can't hear yourself live, but you can hear everything else. It's not perfect, but it's much, much easier to do.
