Hi i have just recentl downloaded Audacity and have gotten my friends USBPhono plus interface for recording i also use searto SL4 and 2 1210 Mk2 turntables...I have a pretty rough mixer its a Gemini PS-626x "professional" Dj mixer it only cost about a £100 but and its about a year old but it still works fine except for the faders are a bit messed up.

Theroblem i am having is that im getting alot of interference when recording my mix.. When i play back i can hear the keyboard and other sounds instead of just the music coming through... The bass was also pretty bad at first but i have sort of fixed that... But no matter what i do i just can get rid of this outside interference... I am using another laptop to record themix and am using serato on another latop i have the interface wired up to my girlfriends laptop with the Ausio USB in the port and the other cable going into the line in port... My girlfrend has an HP pavilion laptop and i have all the output volume and things set to mute... I have tried every possible combination of turning different parts of the audio and record features on her laptop on and off and i still cant rid of it... The mix kind of sounds like im recording it from a microphone from in my bedroom...

Is there any possible way to fix this or does anyone know the problem???

if you need more information please let me know what....

Sorry I can't follow this.

Can you make a diagram something like this so we can visualise it:

Code: Select all

Turntable 1 - > |
                   | Phono Plus - > Computer 1 USB port
Turntable 2 - > |

Keyboard - > | Mixer - > Computer 2 Line-in port

Turntable 3 - > | Ausio USB ??? - > | Computer 3 line-in port
                                         | Computer 3 USB port
How are all these computers connected to each other? Where is the source of the keyboard? Is it a track already in Audacity on one of these computers? Or is it being recorded somewhere - through which equipment?

Which computer is Audacity running on?
