Im on windows 7 using audacity version 1.3.14.

When I try to import an itunes song(not matter what i convert it to) audacity simply freezes and goes unresponsive.It works fine for any other music files,but with itunes its freezing.Any idea as to why and how I could fix this?

Is this a new, unprotected music file you got from iTunes store? Was it $2 a song instead of 99c? The older 99c songs had FairPlay copy protection on them and would not copy or move to another location or program.

A common way around this is to make iTunes burn the song to a Music CD and then rip the CD. Most copy protection will not go through a Music CD.

well,im not sure what it was.But,I uninstalled audacity and changed the files from ".mp3" to ".wav" and it worked fine.(although earlier even .wav would freeze it.)
