But the "Cut" feature keeps graying out on me in the menu option, and I can't choose it. I try it once and it's an option, then try to go to another section of the music, and it won't even show up as an option.
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Do you select the piece you want deleted by using the cursor? Then graying out the area you want removed? Then go to Edit "Remove Audio" and select Cut? What happens when cut isn't showing up as a viable option?
1.3.14 Where is "cut" under Edit

Yes, select audio, then Cut.trailermaker wrote:Do you select the piece you want deleted by using the cursor? Then graying out the area you want removed? Then go to Edit "Remove Audio" and select Cut? What happens when cut isn't showing up as a viable option?
When Cut is greyed out it means there is no selection to Cut.

It will also be grayed out during Play, Record and Pause. Audacity has to be in "Stop" mode.billw58 wrote:When Cut is greyed out it means there is no selection to Cut.
