Midi Cables (SOLVED)

Post by pianoverde » Sat Dec 10, 2011 1:29 am

Does Audacity work with midi cables? (I believe that's what they are called)

I have an m-audio Uno - 1-In/1-Out USB Bus-Powered MIDI Interface.
I would like to record straight from this cable if possible because my home can be noisy.

Any input would be appreciated

MIDI is not audio. Audacity is an audio recorder and editor, it does not record or edit MIDI.

To be 100% accurate, 1.3 Beta can import a MIDI or GRO file, cut-and-paste edit it, then export it, but there is no MIDI playback yet, nor can you convert between MIDI and audio.
