Hello,
As you might see this is my very first post on this forum,I'm posting because I've encountered a problem with audacity. I want to record the sound coming through my earphones but so far I have only managed to record the sound my microphone receives. A couple of different websites instructed me to go to start-> controlpanel-> sound and tick show hidden devices or something like that, it should reveal something called soundmix I believe. In my case it doesn't,
my question is why doesn't it? or
How can I record this sound from my computer?
many thanks

If your computer is a branded computer, go to the computer manufacturers web site.
If your computer is an unbranded computer, have a look inside the case to see the manufacturer and model number of the motherboard (it should be printed onto the board), then go to the motherboard manufacturers web site.
