Cutting files in 10 sec. pieces

Post by RandaButt » Fri Dec 02, 2011 6:18 am

Hi Folks, :D
Noob poster here. It's my very first post so please, be gentle. hehehe

Anyways, the reason for my post is, I play in a program where we can upload sound files but they can ONLY be 10 seconds per file. When I used Audacity in the past, you could physically type in the number of seconds you want the file to be at the bottom of the screen, copy & paste as a new file. It was easy as pie. Since I got the beta one, I can not for the LIFE of me figure out how to cut the files into 10 second files.
Can someone please point me in the right direction? :geek:

Thank you! ;)

1) Use Analyze > Regular Interval Labels... to place a label at every 10 seconds

2) Use Export > Multiple to export a set of files based on the labels
