Recording sounds like it's in a tunnel

Post by jackofalltrades » Wed Nov 30, 2011 9:52 am

Hello again
I have successfully recorded off vinyl through a PC running Windows XP, PC to computer is via "Line In" port (thanks to help from Koz on another issue). I have achieved the correct recording levels but the playback quality is poor. The recording sounds like it is being broadcast from within a tunnel. Could someone please help me with this issue as the recordings are not acceptable quality.
Thankyou

Thanks WC for the tip, I finally found the environment setting, it was on "Stone Corridor" as default as I had not set it. So therein lay the problem, I have set it to "Padded Cell" which sounds 100% over the original setting.
Thanks again for your assistance

Jim
Apologies , guess I should have looked in FAQ's
