Audacity Forum

Just recently I got my new Windows 7 laptop computer and have been trying to put in VST plugins into my audacity plugins folder, but the kjaerhus classic VST plugins will not show up in audacity no matter what I do. I tried exporting them to different folders over and over again, but nothing works. I have the newest version of audacity, so I can't figure out what's wrong. I don't know if it is my new computer or audacity itself. Please help.

Not all VST effects will work in Audacity. If the effect requires fancy control panels or interface graphics, it's not going to work all that well in Audacity, and may not even load.

Try pulling down one of these known, good, working filters and see if that works.

If they work, then your filters are probably too complex for Audacity. If they fail, too, then yes, you're doing something wrong.
