Hello,
I have W7 and audacity 1.3.13.
If I try recording the waveform stays completely flat as it would be muted. The input is set to "Primary sound capture" and volume to maximum.
I have no problem recording with "real player".
What am I doing wrong?
Please help me.
Thanks

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

There's a tutorial that should help to guide you through the set-up process. The biggest problem is usually finding a way to get Win 7 to play ball, but hopefully this will help: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tuto ... e_computer

Thank you so much.steve wrote:There's a tutorial that should help to guide you through the set-up process. The biggest problem is usually finding a way to get Win 7 to play ball, but hopefully this will help: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tuto ... e_computer
The problem was that the Stereo Mix was disabled. After enabling it, the recording works fine.
