Exporting multiple files

Hi

Just wondered; no big deal in exporting and downsizing a mp3 file from a to b, but if I want to export all tracks in a file with few clicks, I am lost. I have tried to use the various export options, but have failed so far. If anyone can help out, that would be awesome. A step by step tutorial in uploading files into audacity and exporting them into the same folder. It should be posible to do so, am I right? We could call it a quick guide for dummies  ;)
Thx

Do you mean that you have a project with multiple tracks and you want to export each track as a separate file?
If so, you should use "File > Export Multiple" and select "Split Files based on > Tracks".
See here in the manual for more details: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Export_Multiple

If you have a single track with multiple...um....bits you want to save as separate files (for example, I record the narration for web-based training as one long file, even though the customer needs a file for each "slide" of text). I either manually put in a label where the text breaks, or insert a pre-defined chunk of silence (e.g. 3 sec or so). I then "auto label" with a setting of "Silence greater than 2.9 sec". Once the file is labeled with the breaks you want you can export multiple "use labels".

Works like a charm. Saves all the "Export Selection" steps.

TheBori is right - the process is documented in this tutorial in the 1.3 manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Spli ... ate_tracks
