Please help! Time shift tool problem.. (SOLVED)

Post by cecilialinnea » Tue Nov 22, 2011 4:37 pm

When I'm trying to use the time shift tool to drag only one of two tracks, they both move. I can't get only one of them to move! Been looking at tutorials and I'm doing the same but it's not working for me. What can be wrong?

Would be so thankful for your help, I really need to get this to work for spinningclass this weekend.

You probably have sync-lock tracks enabled. To turn it off either go to the Tracks menu and look for the "sync-lock tracks" option, or click on the "watch" icon on the toolbar.
Include as much details as you can in your post (Audacity version, Operating System, Equipment used, etc).
Please post your question in the appropriate forum (regarding audacity version and operating system).

Another possibility - Make sure that you don't have the tracks "selected" (highlighted). Just click once with the normal selection tool on the track (that will remove any highlighting), then switch to the Time Shift tool (F5 key).
