Audacity stopped recording

Hello,
For months now I have been using Audacity to record radio online or audio from music DVDs but this morning it just stopped working.
I set it up to record as normal but it just showed that it wasn't picking up any audio.
I am running Windows 7 and Audacity 1.3.13-beta.
Help?!

Topic moved to the Audacity 1.3.x forum.
How are you playing the "radio online"? Is sound coming out of speakers/headphones attached to your Realtek HD sound card?
What is the playback sample rate set at for the Realtek sound card?
Try setting the playback sample rate set at for the Realtek sound card (Windows Control Panel) to 44100 Hz and the Recording Quality setting in Audacity (Edit > Preferences > Quality) to 44100 Hz.

You're getting too technical for me now!
I record from the BBC iplayer and listen through speakers plugged in to the audio jack of my laptop as I've always done since I started recording.
I think I've set it all up to 44100 Hz but it still won't record.

In the picture it looks like Audacity is set to 96000 Hz.

It was, I changed it on your advice.
I don't understand why it would just stop working like that.

Yes that's strange.
Something must have changed.
Perhaps Windows has updated your sound card drivers. It may be worth checking if you can roll-back the sound card drivers to an earlier version (instructions here:
