I'm trying to simply convert a wav file to MP3. It's working, the entire wav file is converted and saved to an mp3 file. HOWEVER, when I open the file in windows media player..it says the song is 2:01 long, when it's actually 3:34. the whole song plays, but the time stops counting at 2:01. anyone run into this before and have a clue???

thanks!!

Windows Media Player often reads the length of VBR encoded MP3s incorrectly.
You could set the MP3 options to use CBR encoding (Click on the "Optiions" button in the export dialogue screen (where you select the file format for the exported file). The track length should be read correctly when using CBR encoding, though VBR encoding produces better sound quality for an equivalent file size than CBR encoding.
Alternatively you could try a better audio player such as Foobar 2000 or WinAmp.
