Difficulty recording two channels off of mixer (SOLVED)

Post by JesusJFunk » Mon Nov 14, 2011 4:14 am

Before hand let me apologize if this is a dumb question but im having trouble with something that i thought someone on the forum could help me with.

I have a behringer xeny 502 mixer that has 3 stereo channels with two of those being able to become two more mono channels. When I have mics plugged into 2/3 i can hear both of them on my headphones but when i'm trying to record both of those on audacity it will only record one. I should also point out that i'm sending the audio from the mixer to my computer with a usb audio interface adapter. I did some research and i think it may have something to do with my sound souncard but i may be wrong. If that is the case is there any way to use both mics on one channe without getting another soundcard like maybe some splitters or something. And if not what should i look for in a soundcard that will fulfill these needs.

I appreciate any help and again i apologize if this a noob question.

Hey i just wanted to let you know that i got this figured and it was something silly, as i suspected. I needed to change the recording device's properties to 2 channel instead of one. I appreciate your time either way though!
