Hello
I am trying to import some audio files from a CD I got from a guy. He says they are 48 khz 24 bit wav. files. When I open the CD each file just shows up as
"file". So I tried renaming them as wav. but they was not readable. Then I tried importing as "raw data". Then one of them did import and played back. But when I tried importing more the audio that did show up in the "project" was kind of wiped or drawn out. When I tried to play back it was a big hum or noise. Did hurt in my ears. So the question is, how do I do this correctly..What setting should I choose when importing?
Eventually, if someone will take a look on them it would be much appreciated:)
Thanks

Re: Help importing "unnamed" wav. files
It's possible you got a plain Music CD and not a data CD with fancy files on it. Use CDex and try to "rip" the disk into music files. If that doesn't work, then try installing FFMpeg from the download site and then try to open the files.

Thanks for answering. I forgot to tell it is multitrack files from ProTools that has been (I think) converted to a format that can be read by any audio program. But it does not
appear to be that, but I will try follow the steps you suggested.
