Click Track & Mono outputs

Post by glenguarin » Tue Nov 08, 2011 7:08 pm

I'm trying to make a musical backing track for my band. How do i make the musical track come out of the left side only and the click track come out of the right side only? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming they are mono tracks, click on the track name of one track and select "Left Channel" from the drop down menu. Set the other track to "Right Channel". Alternatively use the track Pan sliders.

If either of them is a stereo track, either convert the track to mono first (Tracks menu > Stereo Track to Mono), or just use the Pan slider on the left end of the track.

See here for a description of the track controls: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Audio_Tracks
