Crash during saves, exports and mix and renders

Post by eloscuro.matt » Fri Oct 28, 2011 12:37 am

Hey guys, sorry I haven't introduced myself first but I have an urgent problem with Audacity 1.3.13-beta on Windows.

I have a radio show for which I try and make my life easier by mixing all the tracks into two hour-long tracks that I can just press "go" and talk over every so often.

HOWEVER.

Lately Audacity has been misbehaving; when I try and save a file, export an mp3, or even do a mix and render, it tends to hang, and eventually I just have to do a hard reboot of my system. Luckily, I can always recover the file afterwards, but it's frustrating that I can't put it into a useful format... My next show is on Saturday!!

Here is the error log I get upon recovering

. If anyone needs any more information to help me, let me know. Anyone with a clue? Thanks in advance.

Did you fill up your computer? If you do a regular, two-hour radio show, that's about 2GB right there and if you start editing and effects, the size goes up seriously. So that's about, say, 5GB per show.

How much hard drive room do you have and when was the last time you error checked and defragmented it?
